Tutorial Terry
Tutorial Terry is a recurring character and boss that the player first encounters in the Prologue and each of the current five chapters.
Appearance
Tutorial Terry Terry is a dark blue-colored, slightly oval-shaped penguin, with two circles acting as eyes that are paired with thick black eyebrows, alongside an orange beak and flippers. His appearance soon changed in Demo 1, when you get the Shrinking
Shrinking card. With a slight change of appearance, he has a hat that he obtained from the Kitchen Wizard
Kitchen Wizard which seems to be a Wizard-like hat.
Interaction
At the start of the game, when the player wakes up in Tutorial Terry Terry's bed, if the player chooses 'YOU GOTTA DIE' to Tutorial Terry Terry, it will begin an unwinnable battle with him which will also award the player with the badge "A Price to Pay" (only if the player willingly loses the battle).
During the Pre-Prologue, Tutorial Terry Terry is simply known as "Elder Penguin." He rambles during the VIP conference show, and then falls asleep. He wakes up and sees the Mysterious Figure, and states that "[He] hasn’t forgotten [them], and [he] hasn't forgotten [the player] either." He gets up and turns to the player, telling you to help him fight them. The player will say that they don't know how, before Tutorial Terry Terry states "You always were a liar". During the fight, Tutorial Terry Terry won’t attack but will tell you how to use the Ball
Ball, and how to dodge. After the fight he will watch as the player and the Mysterious Figure get sucked into the past.
Throughout the first chapter, Tutorial Terry Terry appears in the Bizville Hotel, where the player starts a new save file; he can also be talked to normally. Tutorial Terry Terry appears when:
- Entering the Meadows, in which the player where the player will receive the Power Stab
Power Stab card; - In the caves, where the player will need to throw the ball at a HP+
HP+ card; - When getting the Dynamite
Dynamite next to Accountant Jim, and; - When getting the Shrinking Shrinking card, where he would be seen flying to the very top after the player attempts to help the Kitchen Wizard Kitchen Wizard.
Tutorial Terry Tutorial Terry would somehow with no reasons given and explained that he 'borrowed' his hat, and float all the way up to the top of the tower of appliances. All interactions, except when the player talks to him in the hotel, are forced.
Throughout the second chapter, Tutorial Terry Terry makes three more appearances - after defeating Cruel King
Cruel King in the throne room, at the airport, and in the rainforest where the player first unlocks the Rocket Boots
Rocket Boots, where he is accompanied by his brother Jerry, who will teach the player how to use the Rocket Boots Rocket Boots. This chapter shows him with Jerry for the first time in the game.
During the third chapter, Tutorial Terry Terry can be seen with Jerry around The Manor stating that you are "ruining his vacation". When the player obtains the Ghost Potion
Ghost Potion, he will tell you to use it on the wall to get past. Tutorial Terry Terry will be in the catacombs and will tell you to use the Hyperball
Hyperball to break the planks. After doing that, he will spot the Ghostwalker
Ghostwalker and tell you to come with him and Jerry to get the Ghost Chef
Ghost Chef. After the player wakes up from Defeating Hatred
Hatred, Tutorial Terry Terry will yell at you and leave with Jerry.
During the fourth chapter, Tutorial Terry Terry can be seen twice, once relaxing in a pool with Jerry, where he will spot and yell at you. After telling you to use the Bottled Ship
Bottled Ship, Jerry will get taken by the current and Tutorial Terry Terry will go after him. After obtaining the Shovel
Shovel, Terry and Jerry will fall from the ceiling and ask where The Great Flocci
Genie is stating he is a total sham. Before leaving he will ask who Calypso
Calypso is, when she answers he expresses he doesn't care before chasing after The Great Flocci The Great Flocci with Jerry.

- Tutorial Terry Tutorial Terry is one of the only enemies with a completely unguardable attack, other enemies including Hatred Hatred's Charge Outburst, Turkey

Azuri's Azure Blast. - The player was able to refight Tutorial Terry Tutorial Terry through the use of a glitch, though it has been patched, and cannot be done anymore.
- He could only be refought in a new save file.
- Tutorial Terry Tutorial Terry killed the Kitchen Wizard Kitchen Wizard before taking his hat. In Demo 3, it can be seen in a cutscene that Tutorial Terry Terry did this. Specifically, when you ask the Ghost Chef Ghost Chef about how he became a ghost, a part of the scene shows that Tutorial Terry Terry killed him with his missile launcher.
- Tutorial Terry Tutorial Terry has two different animations when talking as an NPC, one being a stressed angry one, and a neutral one.
- Also unlike most other characters, Tutorial Terry Tutorial Terry has an idle animation outside of combat, similar to other Characters like Kyoko
Kyoko.

- Before Demo 3, Tutorial Terry Tutorial Terry was the only character with a custom dialogue box, being blue with white text.
- Since demo 4's release, all bosses and major NPCs have a custom dialogue box.
- For unknown reasons, Tutorial Terry Tutorial Terry, despite being a normal penguin, appears different from the ones at Snowy Thicket and the town of them behind the waterfall of Roadtown.
- Tutorial Terry Terry is apparently a former professional pilot, but despite this, he still seems to own the plane and can fly it despite all the security in the airport.
- He is also super defensive about the player when it comes to his airplane and them breaking into the airport, straight up calling them a burglar, despite the fact he said that he has broken windows and such back at the Cave.
- His brother, Jerry, calls him "The Blue Eagle"; despite not being an eagle, instead being a penguin.
- When Tutorial Terry Tutorial Terry is showing you how to use the Ball Ball to pick up cards from long distances, you are instructed to grab an HP+ HP+ card for him. When obtaining the card, Tutorial Terry Terry states he "already had that one" and then stated he actually had "multiple copies" possibly revealing how he has so much Heart Points HP.
- Tutorial Terry Tutorial Terry formerly had Heart Points 1.000.000 before the release of Demo 5, upon which his Heart Points HP was mystified.

Shedletsky, Tutorial Terry Terry's battle is scripted, having that nobody can be inflicted with status effects. - Tutorial Terry Tutorial Terry is the first character to have their own plushie counter part, with the second being Cruel King Cruel King, the third being Griefer
Griefer and the fourth being Captain Trotter Captain Trotter. - In the dialogue with Ghost Chef Ghost Chef in the basement after defeating Hatred Hatred, when you are presented with the option to either ask about Builderman or Tutorial Terry Terry, Tutorial Terry Terry's name is shown in black.
- On the game's release, Tutorial Terry Terry used to have Heart Points 100.
- Later that Demo, his Heart Points HP changed to Heart Points 999.
- Then somewhere in Demo 3 or 4, his Heart Points HP changed to Heart Points 999.999.
- In Demo 5, all enemies who had more than Heart Points 999 will instead display Heart Points ???, Tutorial Terry Terry being one of the only enemies in the game to achieve this.
