In Block Tales, there contains some battles that the player is forced to fight against in order to progress through a specific chapter. These types of encounters are referred to as 'scripted encounters'.

The player(s) will have their HP and SP fully restored upon winning the battle, similar to Bosses. As these battles are triggered by a cutscene, it is impossible to receive the Status Effects#Removed on Strike FIRST STRIKE buff. Below will show a list of battles that fall under this category. Do keep in mind that these are only a summary of how a specific encounter works in-game.

Pre-Prologue

Roblox VIP Convention

The player was forced to fight these Noobs in order to progress through the Pre-Prologue, serving as the final boss to the Pre-Prologue. These enemies was designated as a scripted-battle in order to teach players on how to use weapons and land action commands, as shown with Tutorial Terry next to the player, speaking tips. The game will always pause on the frame where an action command must be clicked to teach the player on how they work.

Prologue: Hello World!

Terry's Room

Not quite a scripted battle, but this fight runs on similar principles, just that it is optional. If the player selects the "YOU GOTTA DIE" option when talking to Tutorial Terry when the player first waked up, Terry will be enraged and will fight the player. The fight is unwinnable and upon losing, the player will be sent back to the cutscene and allowed to reselect their choices.

Chapter One - Storming the Castle

Roadtown

There are 6 Knights sent to Roadtown as part of the King's new law. These Knights are all over Roadtown to keep watch of the town to prevent the citizens from going out or outsiders going in. Talking to them initiate a battle. They are optional, however contain the same characteristics as a Forced Battle, being that they cannot be First Striked and the player fully heals alongside recovering their Special Points SP after the battle. Alongside the guarding Knights in Roadtown, there is a bored group of Knights between the lower layer of Roadtown and the upper layer. Upon encountering the player, they, like the other guards, recognized that the player is not from Roadtown and proceeded to fight them. Same characteristics as the individual Knight battles.

Snowy Thicket

After defeating the guard, the Player continues through the mountains and comes across a Spiky Killbot. The Spiky Killbot is a scripted-battle encounter residing in the Snowy Thicket of Chapter 1, and has Heart Points 2 HP. This boss/enemy was designated as a scripted-battle boss in order to teach players on how to use offensive items such as Bombs. Spiky Killbot was confirmed to be a normal enemy in a future Demo.[citation needed] Due to a skip known as Blackrock Skip, the player can skip the battle of Spiky Killbot, alongside some Bosses, Banished Knight and Sentient Statue.

Chapter Two - A Toxic Time

East HQ Basement

This variant of Shedletsky is a scripted-battle encounter residing in the HQ Basement. This boss/enemy was designated as a scripted-battle boss in order to teach players on how to use NRGs, or also referred to as Sword Energies. The battle automatically ends upon the usage of the Ice Dagger.

Chapter Three - All Hallows' Eve

Passenger Room [4]

The player was forced to fight these 2 Bandits after waking up in the room in the Train in order to escape the room and save the Conductor.

Front Cart

Upon reaching the Conductor's room, the player is forced to fight the four Bandits. Summons were officially introduced here, being Red n' Blue (given that the player randomly obtained Call: Gorilla from the previous Chapter or Call: Cruel King obtained from a sidequest, instead of claiming it through the story).
The battle starts with Red n' Blue as an ally with Heart Points 30 HP.

Chapter Four - Excavation Expedition

Oasis

Moving towards, the player encounters a group of three pirates planning to mutiny the Captain and keep some treasure for themselves. Upon them noticing the player, they must defeat them to gain access to the camp, and therefore progress through the story.

Scorched Ruins [A3]

After finishing the last puzzle, some pirates get jealous because they had been trying to solve the puzzle for weeks, and so they decide to attack the player.

Chapter Five - Trouble on the Heights

Trinity Castle

Arg'il ambushes the Castle and attacked Cassie alongside these 4 Korbloxians. The Council & Telamon goes up to deal with him and left you to defeat the 4 Korbloxians. The Brigand Sword upgrade is granted just before the battle.

Redcliff [2]

When traversing Redcliff with Cassie, the player encountered a Redcliff Knight, who recognizes them and the princess. He believed the player is a traitor because the two are supposed to be well hidden inside the Castle. The Knight called for more men and attacked the player. Cassie will join the fight, but she would not use her attacks nor will the enemies target her, similarly to every other Trinity enemies fights. Cassie will have Heart Points 30 HP.
